May 3rd to 7th is set as teacher's appreciation week and May 4th is recognized as Teachers Appreciation Day for 2010. It provides a significant opportunity to our Bala Swayamsevaks/sevikas to show their reverence and appreciation to their teachers as practiced in our culture.

 

Some shakhas have taken the advantage of the occation to conduct GuruVandana programs between April and May as a means of reaching out to the school teachers and some have shown interest in conducting such events. Hope you can conduct similar event in your shakha. Planning and conducting the event is lot easier than many of us think and is a very rewarding experience for all.
